Guide opening:
Everybody knows Billy Wilder's Some Like It Hot, a movie that the American Film Institute recently named the greatest comedy ever made in the United States. Unfortunately, far fewer movie fans are familiar with One, Two, Three, another black-and-white comic masterpiece directed by Wilder just two years later.
Set in Berlin during the summer of 1960, One, Two, Three is an incisive, fast-paced satire - a Cold War clash of capitalism and communism in the months before the construction of the Berlin Wall. Deceptively light-hearted in tone, the film contains surprisingly serious undertones. As the ideological battles rage, a personal struggle between the demands of career advancement and the burdens of family responsibility simmers just below the surface.
An excerpt from the commentary:
James Cagney, as C.R. MacNamara, devotes his life to the management of two major challenges. First, he labors tirelessly to convince Coca-Cola's corporate bigwigs to promote him to a choice job in London. Second, he connives incessantly to keep his family out of the way of his career ambitions. MacNamara has remarkably little trouble juggling these two priorities. Only a third challenge, an unexpected request to watch over his Atlanta boss' wild 17-year old daughter, causes his orderly life to spin out of control.

The commentary is supplemented by BREAKOUT BOXES dealing with these topics:
